Week Two Update – Lower Camp 2021

This week in Lower Camp, we explored the Animal Kingdom.  Campers used their imagination to draw sea creatures, they designed animal themed masks, and they built kites to sore like the birds!  We also spent time talking about the types of animals that can be found in different regions in the world, even on the North and South Poles.

With all the heat at the beginning of the week, we kept cool with in a variety of ways.  Some of the most notables activities for this were our water games.  We also spent time indoors for story time.  The campers really used their creativity to develop alternate endings and even write their own stories afterwards.

Looking ahead to next week, we will celebrate Beach at Camp Day on Friday, July 9th.  This is a long-standing tradition in Lower Camp, and we look forward to a week filled with fun and excitement leading up to it.

Please remember to make 2 masks for your campers, as well as a towel and a bag for wet clothes.   Please also pack a snack, a water bottle, and sunscreen for your campers.  We also recommend writing their names on these items too.

We are so happy to have had your campers with us this week, and we hope to see you all back at RISE very soon!
