Week Seven Update- Upper Camp 2021

It is hard to believe that RISE Camp 2021 has come to a close.  Although this was our last week, it has been jam-packed with finishing up projects and getting in the last rounds of camp favorite games and activities.

Our art groups have been hard at work this week, painting nature with watercolors and positive message posters. Campers have also been painting rocks and paper mache figurines.

Our Creating, Producing, and Acting groups have been working all summer long on their movies, and this Thursday, we finally got to see them live on the big screen at our annual Film Festival!  From brainstorming original characters and plots, to running around campus filming, and finally editing the whole project together, we are so proud of our campers and counselors for their hard work all summer!

In Science and Building, campers have been experimenting with baking soda volcanoes and reusing old crayons to make new ones! We have also seen some awesome creations coming out of the wood shop, such as benches and book ends.

Our sports groups have been all over the MB campus- from games in the grove, to the field house for dodgeball, and the softball field for football.

Making and flying paper airplanes have been a popular activity in our Mix It Up Group, along with making camper’s favorite recipes in cold cooking.

It has been another awesome summer here at RISE Camp. It is always so wonderful to see our campers in their element, being with new and old friends, working hard, and most importantly, having fun! We hope to see you all back at RISE next summer!

Best,

Allie Spurling (Head of Upper Camp) and Maddie Pizzuti (Office Manager)
