Early RISErs Weekly Note- Week 4

Hello Early RISErs families,

Faster than planes can fly, it is the end of week four!  This week our friends went through the day in their stables groups as frogs, tadpoles, or toads.  Our theme for the week was Planes, Trains, and Automobiles!

During circle time, we explored books that helped us learn all about different types of vehicles like Goodnight, Goodnight Construction Site and The Little Engine That Could.

In arts and crafts, we started our week by exploring all types of vehicles from trucks, to sports cars to airplanes. We used paint to compare all different types of tracks!  On Wednesday, we designed our very own custom race cars too!  We also got to pick out the color all on our own and customized it with our first initial.

During outside time, our counselors taught us different ways we could measure by filling cones with water. Together, we counted to see how long it would take to fill a cone all the way up.  After, we liked to pour it on our heads to cool off.  We laughed a lot!  On our warmer days, we also got to cool off in our rainbow slip and slide.

On Friday, our frogs, toads, and tadpoles ended their week by showing off all their sportswear for Sports Day! At camp, we had baseball players, cheerleaders, soccer players, and more! We look forward to Monday when we will be roaring into Jungle Animal week!

Kind regards,

Gabbie Silvestri and Chris Moniz
