7-day Overnight Camp

Ages 14-17

Do you aspire to be a chef, an industrial innovator, an economic disruptor? Chez Innovation aims to embolden young entrepreneurs to build businesses in the Ocean State.

This 9-day overnight camp is a crash-course in entrepreneurship focused on the food industry in R.I., and daily site visits give campers a behind-the-scenes look at every step in the food production chain—from the barnyard to the board room. With daily journaling, coursework, and coaching, students will synthesize what they learn in real time to create their own business proposals, which they will pitch to a panel of industry leaders at the end of the week.

Campers stay at Roosevelt International Academy, an academic boarding program overlooking India Point Park. Evenings involve a mix of fun activities and hard work as campers prepare to dazzle the judges.

Students may apply online by submitting their best answers to essay questions at chezinnovation.org. This camp explicitly seeks to enroll students from a wide mix of socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds, and is FREE for any student who submits a winning application.
